The DuPonts 2025
Brother and sister Don and Michele DuPont are a celebrated vocal duo with a legacy steeped in American musical history. As third-generation professional musicians, their artistry reflects a lifetime immersed in performance, elegance, and tradition.
Their grandfather, Roland DuPont, was a legendary jazz trombonist who performed with the Ray Noble Orchestra alongside Glenn Miller. A fixture in New York City’s most iconic venues—including the Rainbow Room, Radio City Music Hall, and the Paramount—Roland also appeared on television’s most enduring classics, including The Ed Sullivan Show, The Kate Smith Show, and Your Show of Shows. His work as a staff musician for NBC and CBS helped define the sound of American popular music in the mid-20th century.
Their father, also named Don DuPont, continued this musical tradition as a widely respected trombonist. He performed on The Ed Sullivan Show, toured with Guy Lombardo’s band, and played for audiences across the country.
Don and Michele emerged from this remarkable lineage to create a career of their own marked by critical acclaim and prestigious appearances. They were protégés of the legendary Incomparable Hildegarde, performing with her at celebrated venues including The Russian Tea Room and Carnegie Hall. They were featured guests on several episodes of the iconic Joe Franklin Show and recorded alongside notable cabaret performers on two Original Cast Records releases: We Have Something to Say and The Other Half of Me.
The DuPonts have headlined The Ambassador’s Ball and were honored to perform at the wedding reception of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. They were also headliners at the Hunter Mountain Country Music Festival, sharing the bill with Waylon Jennings and Reba McEntire. Their international credits include a three-season residency in Switzerland, where they brought American song to European audiences with acclaim.
Today, Don and Michele DuPont continue to dazzle audiences performing timeless classics from the Great American Songbook with their swinging quartet. They also pay tribute to the golden age of jazz as featured vocalists with their father’s Big Band, bringing the unforgettable energy of Big Band swing to life for contemporary audiences.
With decades of experience and a unique blend of vocal harmony, poise, and authenticity, Don and Michele DuPont are keeping a proud family legacy alive—one unforgettable performance at a time.
We see it as both a privilege and a responsibility to keep the Great American Songbook and the Big Band sound alive—not just as nostalgia, but as vibrant, living music that speaks to every generation "
